Getting Serious

What do Artists do all day? Well, I can tell you from experience, they do not create Art all day!

There are supplies to buy and housework to do in between. There are Art books to read, techniques to try and grandchildren to spoil too. Meals are needed occasionally, and coffee is a necessity. Participating in my church, community and being present for my family are activities I need to do to make me whole and feed my soul.

The “business” of being an artist is not as simple as some make it seem. Just redesigning my website, writing content and uploading the photos of the work I have done, is time consuming. I could not have accomplished any of it without the help of my daughter Kay. She is patiently navigating me through the new technology and completing the tasks that are just beyond my understanding. Even after I totally messed up some edits her only comment was, “Mommmmm!” We still have a way to go but we’re getting there. As she’s been so patient with me I ask that you be patient with us as we continue to work on this site.
